My story to essential oils
My introduction to dōTERRA began when I was searching for skincare products that could help balance my skin. I’ve always had an oily T-zone and, over the years, had tried many different products. As my skin was maturing (I was nearly 50 at the time), I felt it was becoming increasingly unbalanced and I wanted something more natural and supportive.
I came across an Instagram post from a local lady and decided to send her a message. That was how I connected with Ashleigh. I immediately felt a great connection with her, she was incredibly knowledgeable and so passionate about dōTERRA.
Not long after, I badly hurt my shoulder and was struggling to sleep. Ashleigh came to see me and gave me a treatment using dōTERRA products. That night I slept for 9 hours, which was incredible for me at the time
Continued Education
After that experience, I began attending Zoom calls to learn more about these beautiful oils. The more I discovered, the more I fell in love with them and gradually started incorporating them into my daily life.
18 months ago, I trained in the dōTERRA AromaTouch Technique, which allows me to use the oils in a gentle and deeply relaxing treatment.
The oils have also helped me make positive changes at home. I’ve reduced the amount of plastic and toxins we use by making my own natural cleaning products, body butters and moisturisers.
I haven’t taken ibuprofen or paracetamol for years. Instead, I use the oils and supplements to support inflammation and pain alongside Reiki. I’m not against medication, I fully understand that it has an important place, but for me personally, I prefer to explore a natural approach first.
The oils have also supported me through menopause, helping me manage symptoms that are now easing. Alongside this, maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle has been an important part of my journey.
Community
I’ve been on my holistic path for 3 years now, and when I experience symptoms of illness or imbalance, I naturally turn first to Reiki and supportive natural approaches.
Through this journey I’ve also become part of a wonderful, supportive community. It’s been a lovely experience connecting with like minded people and I’ve made some truly great friends along the way.
